Futsal Rules & Regulations

 

 

4 Games guaranteed        

Championship games will be contested between the two group 
winners from their respective age's division or by a single-elimination tournament phase.
     

Games are 15mins - Championships are two 10min halves.        

Minimum of 3 and a maximum of 6 players per roster.

Adult coed must have 1 girl on the field at all times.

Substitutions are on-the-fly.

Official Doolittle Electric Tournament jerseys will be given to each team that signed up before the free t-shirt deadline.  

Players may not play for more than one team in the same division.

Players in their respective division must be that age or younger on the date of the beginning of the tournament.  

Team must hand in a team roster before their 1st game.  

Quick Rules*Tournaments will follow current Plex indoor soccer rules with the following 
adaptations. 

 ALL DIVISIONS – During the game - no goalkeepers and no 
players are allowed to use their hands at any time. Players may 
not enter the area marked immediately in front of goal (goal area) 
either offensively or defensively and play the ball.

The ball is out of play upon crossing the sidelines or hitting the nets. Kick-ins are used to restart play. If the ball hits the wall behind the goal, play continues.

 If an offensive player enters the goal area and plays the ball to score a goal, the goal will NOT count.

If a defensive player enters the goal area and plays the 
ball in such a manner to prevent a goal from being scored 
the goal WILL count. 
    

 If a defensive player enters the goal area and plays the ball in such a manner that does NOT prevent a goal from being scored, the offensive team will be awarded a free kick 5 yards from the top of the goal area (not a penalty kick)

 Any ball coming to rest in the goal area will be considered 
a stoppage of play. A goal kick will be awarded to the 
defending team.

During the group stages:

Teams will receive 3 points for a win, 1 point for a tie 
and 0 points for a loss
No overtime or Pk’s will be played. Overtime and PK’s will only be played in
championship games.
If teams are tied in first place after the 4 group games, the 
winner is decided as follows:
- Winner of head to head - Goal Differential - Shoot out

Shoot out format:
-

Best of 3 kicks – each team picks 3 players, alternate kicks 
until all players have kicked or if a winner has been determined.
- If score remains tied after Pk’s - sudden victory penalty kicks 
will be played, alternate kicks until a winner is determined 
(note – No player may kick twice until all of the players on the 
team have kicked)
- Penalty kicks will take place using the main field goals 
(all age divisions).
- Teams must choose a goalkeeper for their team – this player 
must remain in goal for the duration of the shootout.
